Libiry is available for Windows, macOS, Linux and Android.
Windows
- Download LibirySetup.exe
- Double-click the file
- Follow the installation wizard
- Libiry is now in your Start Menu and on your desktop
Uninstall: via Windows Settings > Apps > Libiry > Uninstall
MacOS
Option A: DMG (recommended)
- Download Libiry.dmg
- Double-click to open
- Drag Libiry to the Applications folder
- Launch from Applications or Spotlight
Option B: Direct .app
- Download Libiry.app
- Move to Applications folder
- First launch: Right-click > Open (to bypass Gatekeeper)
Uninstall: drag Libiry from Applications to Trash
Linux
- Download Libiry-x86_64.AppImage
- Make the file executable:
- Right-click > Properties > Permissions > “Allow executing as program”
- Or via terminal: chmod +x Libiry-x86_64.AppImage
- Double-click to start
Optional - Desktop integration: ./Libiry-x86_64.AppImage —install
Uninstall: delete the AppImage file
Android
- Download libiry.apk to your phone
- Tap the file to install
- If you are prompted about “unknown sources”: tap Settings and allow installation
- Libiry is now in your apps
Uninstall: long-press the app icon > Uninstall
First time startup
When starting for the first time:
- Choose a start location (the folder where your ebooks are stored)
- Libiry displays your ebooks as visual tiles
- Double-click a book to open it
- Use the gear icon for settings
Troubleshooting
- Windows may give a defender warning. In that case, click “More info” and then “Run anyway”
- Linux: make sure the file is executable (chmod +x)
- Android: allow installation from unknown sources in Settings
